Don’t book your MOT test the same day your MOT runs out, because if it fails you can’t drive the vehicle on the road again until it has passed the MOT.

If you book up to one month in advance even if it fails it legally has an MOT on it until the expiry date is reached. Therefore giving you a month to repair your vehicle and you can still drive it and when it passes ‘early’ this is added on to the new MOT test certificate automatically.
